So in high school I had the whole "popular" experience. And honestly? It is SO not what it's cracked up to be. I've never been so stressed in my whole life. Way too much pressure. So yeah, I'm definitely going with Smart.
Smart. I've never ever been popular so I know that it's no big deal being an outsider. I'm used to it! ;o)
I happen to be both, so I don't have to choose!

Smart. I was never popular, except for the brief moment when I moved from England to Houston. Then I was a novelty because of my accent. But I was painfully shy and it was too much attention for me.

Oh, and the lady who drew that pic on my blog said the exact same thing about Sarah Palin. Sigh.

Smart, absolutely.
Smart, for sure. Popularity is too dependent on others. That would drive me crazy!
Smart. Popularity is over-rated.
Smart because more smart people than popular people write novels. And we all know writers are the coolest people on the planet, so I'd rather hang with them.

Popular, because popular people don't always know they aren't smart, but smart people have figured out they aren't popular a long time ago.

Definitely smart! Especially after reading this great YA book called Populazzi. Made me laugh out loud, but realize to what end some people will go for popularity.
Aw, brains aren't everything. I like being smart, but it can be lonely. In high school, people detest you because you get all A's--it makes them feel bad. Maybe I'd like to try popular, but I DO have friends, so maybe I already know. I didn't have many in high school, though. Sorta depends on how you define "popular" too--just a lot of friends, or the shallow high school version of popularity.
