Would You Rather Wednesday

It's been forever and a day since the last "Would You Rather" question. I've missed treating you guys like my characters and putting you in uncomfortable situations and watching you squirm. ;o)

Now that I'm only posting on Wednesdays, I can't go back to doing one question a week...but I promise to work in at least one a month. So without further ado, on to February's question:

Our world has suddenly turned into an unfortunate dystopian society where our "Capitol" has decided the best way to keep us at bay is to eliminate one of our two major senses. As a favor for our cooperation each citizen gets to choose which sense they have stripped from them.

Note: if you try to revolt, they'll take both from you and every member of your family. (It's dystopian, dudes, it's totally meant to suck)

So, Would You Rather??

A) Surrender Your Vision

or

B) Surrender Your Hearing

Hearing. Then I'd have a better excuse to ignore people while I'm reading.

Oh god. You are EVIL.

I'd have to choose sight. If I lost my hearing, I'd never be able to experience music again or hear my husband say I love you. You don't need sight to experience stories, you can always have them read to you.

Though decision...but it would have to be hearing.

Hearing. No doubt. I'd miss my podcasts - and the screeching brakes of the automobiles as I step in front of them, but I would be able to read still.

Hi Tracy, great to meet you! I've thought about this many times. Although I would miss music terribly,I would keep my vision. At least I could read and walk around unassisted.

Hearing. Defs.

That's a hard one! As much as I LOVE music (and even though my hearing is better than my vision), I'm going to stick with my vision and lose the hearing. I don't want to live without reading and writing.

I'd surrender my hearing. I never thought about it before, but sight may be my favorite sense. Love these posts!

That's such a hard one, but I think I'd rather surrender my hearing. I'd have a hard time not being able to see.

When I first saw I'd have to lose one of my senses, I was hoping speech was listed, but it wasn't. So, since those are my only two choices, I'd have to go with hearing. I'd miss my music, but I'm such a clutz, I can only imagine what I'd be like blind!

Gah! Can't I just give up my sense of smell?

But alas, I suppose I'd give up hearing. :(

Hearing. Totally. Beloved Husband would rather give up his sight. Aren't we a fine pair?

I've thought of this a lot actually. It's really tough. Give up sunsets and forests, or give up music and crashing waves. Tough tough tough.
In the end I'd probably give up hearing, cuz I couldn't stand the thought of being robbed of my eyes. But just think, no dancing. And life in total silence. Hey, maybe it'd be peaceful. lol

Hearing. Totally. I like it quiet anyway. ;-)

oh, man! Hard one. I've thought and thought and thought about this, and I think I'd have to go with ... ugh! I don't know. sight. GAH!

can I change my answer? ;p

Easy. I would give up my hearing. I'm visually driven ... my world would end without my sight (I know, I exaggerate).

This is a question I've considered before, because I have a visually impaired son.

Gah, this is hard. I'd say my hearing!

Wow, how did I miss this last week? Hmmm. I'll go with hearing. I'm clumsy enough as it is. Without my vision, I'm doomed.
